I hope that my Magic and particularly Browser Client knowledge will help someone here or from anywhere else.

We decided to migrate our application to Web + DB2 when the Browser Client technology appeared. I learned to use it and I needed to find a lot of tricks in order to make it work "properly" (by "properly" I mean as I wanted, because at the time the BC related documents where almost inexistent and very few people knew which was the correct behaviour).

My first contact with Magic 8.3 was in 2001 and I learned mainly by my self and from the magicu-l egroup (yahoo groups).
I was working on a very complex real estate application using BTRIEVE 6.15.
We decided to migrate our application to Web + DB2 when the Browser Client technology appeared. I learned to use it and I needed to find a lot of tricks in order to make it work "properly" (by "properly" I mean as I wanted, because at the time the BC related documents where almost inexistent and very few people - MSE people, knew which was the correct behaviour).
Once we finished our BC application, in France there where only 2 full BC applications (ours and another one) and in the world people became to consider the BC technology and ask questions on magicu-l.
I couldn't be present at the MIUG 2003 conference but I did a Camtasia recording, which was included in the MIUG 2003 CD pack (CD2).
This presentation contains:
= A demo of our BC application,
= The "BC progress bar implementation" for batch processes,
= How to upload files in a BC application.
I hope that my Browser Client knowledge will help someone here or from anywhere else.
