As you are about to discover further, eDeveloper offers a quite unique approach to Application Software Development. Though this approach is powerful, it may indispose the neophyte (even also the not so neophyte) when considering doing things that he (or she) was used to do in certain ways before with other development environments. "Jumping the fence" basically implies that at the end of a beginner training, one will know and understands sufficiently the generic eDeveloper approach and associated basic techniques in order to start being able to "Think eDeveloper".

The topics covered just below this introduction are not difficult. However, the beginner (and maybe not so beginner) should not underestimate their importance. These were selected as those that are systematically used over and over and also will become the starting point for more advanced topics to come later in "Intermediate" and "Advanced" training later.

eDeveloper for beginners, is not an exhaustive and systematic running through all features, dialogs and fields available in eDeveloper. Besides being extremely tedious and boring, such exercise would miss on differentiating between what is very important and typically frequently used from very specific options that though justified when they apply, may take the attention away from what is essential at this stage.

You were introduced to eDeveloper and are curious to know more about it. Maybe you already got some demo or saw a skilled "Magician" elaborating a prototype. You now want to roll up your sleeves and get to see from real close what is under the hood.

Introduction:

You were introduced to eDeveloper and are curious to know more about it. Maybe you already got some demo or saw a skilled "Magician" elaborating a prototype. You now want to pull up your sleeves and get to see from real close what’s under the hood.

An ‘eDeveloper for beginners’ is likely to be what is most appropriate for you. The main and global goal of such training is often refereed to as "Jumping the fence".

As you are about to discover further, eDeveloper offers a quite unique approach to Application Software Development. Though this approach is powerful, it may indispose the neophyte (even also the not so neophyte) when considering doing things that he was used to do in certain ways before with other development environments. “Jumping the fence” basically implies that at the end of a beginner training, one will know and understands sufficiently the generic eDeveloper approach and associated basic techniques in order to start being able to “Think eDeveloper”.

As many skilled Magicians say:
"If it starts to be difficult with eDeveloper, then you are very likely doing something wrong."

eDeveloper for beginners, is not an exhaustive and systematic running through all features, dialogs and fields available in eDeveloper. Besides being extremely tedious and boring, such exercise would miss on differentiating between what is very important and typically frequently used from very specific options that though justified when they apply, may take the attention away from what is essential.

The topics covered just below this introduction are not difficult. However, the beginner (and maybe not so beginner) should not underestimate their importance. These were selected as those that are systematically used and also will become the starting point for more advanced topics to come later in intermediate and advanced training later.
