Intro
It is possible to write programs in Magic/eDeveloper that allows you to interact with Magic using your web browser. This site is a typical example of how CGI programming works. You see a page, you fill in a form, you click a submit button, and what do you know, next thing you see is the results.
I will demonstrate how to accomplish this task in Magic.
Tools that you will need
For this excercise you will need the following tools:
- Magic/eDeveloper with ISAPI or CGI requesters installed
- A Web Server. I suggest Apache Webserver, but IIS (Internet Information Server) is also good. It's available only on the windows platform
- A Web Browser. Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox are good browsers.
